Sri Chinmoy Tri Club's SBR-Mini DUATHLON (run-bike-run) 2025

Results 14 September 2025

Sunday's race was one of our quickest Duathlons ever with everyone finishing in under the hour, 11 athletes coming in under 40 mins and some new course records in the female category. Colette Sanderson became our first woman to complete the Short Course, so she establishes the course record of 33.57. Christopher Clarke was first across the line in the short course / open category in 26:59. In the full-distance race, Sonka Reimers flew round, establishing a new female course record of 34:33, eclipsing Tamsin Elson-Chick's previous best on the course of 35.53 by over a minute. First long-course finisher though was the remarkable vet 60+ athlete, Alan Price, who finished the bike leg lying second overall then narrowly outran Reima to cross the line first in 34:18.

That brings our 2025 season to a close! Next year we again hope to hold 3 Duathlons and our Try-a-Tri at Tockington along with a full 3-race running season on the Sri Chinmoy Peace Mile in Eastville and our famous Ice Cream Relay (3 x 1 Mile).

Results for SwimBikeRun MINI Duathlon, Tockington, 30 March 2025

In cold but bright conditions at Tockington we had 24 starters in our Duathlon today.

In the short course event, Thomas Miller (25:39) and Philippa Crocker (31:12) were unopposed in their categories, but both had the satisfaction of establishing a new course record for the distance.

On the longer course, Nathan Irwin went out hard from the start and stayed in front to finish first in 35:32. Alex Miller was second in 37:16 with Kieron, new to Duathlon, finishing third in 38:30. In all we had 6 athletes finish in under 40 minutes.

In the female category we had a very close finish, Sharon Coultart leading from the bike leg with Kate Hoffen (a regular medalist in our Eastville Park runs) closing fast on the final run. In the end, Sharon stayed ahead to finish first in 41:23 with Kate taking 2nd place by just one second in 41:24. Angela Simpson was third in 44:13 despite having to roll in from the bike leg on a flat tyre.
