Challenge yourself and enjoy a beautiful morning run (or walk) on a 5-mile loop course around a serene lake.
Each 5-mile loop is chip-timed. You can complete as many loops as you want --20 miles, 25...30...35...more? In the last 30 minutes of the race, if you're on the course (but not at the Start/Finish area) and make it to one of our aid stations, you'll be credited with that additional mileage. (Please be aware you'll need to walk to Start/Finish Area from that point.)
In addition to the fuel and encouragement you'll get at the aid stations, you'll be able to leave your own gear/nutrition in a secure area so you can reach for it each lap or as needed.
Laps and mileage are counted via chip. Splits are given every 5 miles (one loop of the course). There are permanent distance markers at every 1/4 mile.

This race is sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team (SCMT), which for 40+ years has been a preeminent organizer of races around the world from 2 miles to the longest certified footrace of 3,100 miles. While this November marks the fourth time this 6-hour race has taken place in San Diego, SCMT previously organized a long-running Swim & Run event in La Jolla as well as weekly 2-mile all-comers races.
This event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field (USATF).
Parking options for participants are off-site but within easy walking distance. Registered participants will receive an email with directions and off-site parking options.
